The Palace City Jazz Summer Camp blends classroom-style jazz education with hands-on ensemble experience and masterclasses to create a truly life-changing musical experience. Not only will you learn the necessary skills to develop a better understanding of jazz theory and jazz improvisation, but you’ll get invaluable real-world experience playing in combos under the guidance of our all-star faculty. And at the end of the camp, you and your peers will get to take center stage in our Grand Finale concert!
Who Should Attend Students of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to attend—no prior knowledge of jazz is necessary! Students will submit an audition ahead of time and will be placed in appropriate combos before the camp begins, allowing for each student to receive the best musical and educational experience possible. Whether you are new to the world of jazz, or are an accomplished performer passionate about continuing your studies, this camp is for you!
